هدفت الدراسة الي التعرف علي الخدمة الأجتماعية في السودان والمرحلة الأولي للعمل الاجتماعي ايضا تحدث الباحث عن تطور الخدمة الأجتماعية في السودان والتسلسل التاريخي عبر الزمان لتعليم الخدمة الاجتماعية، تحدث عن الجامعات التي تدرس تخصص الخدمة الاجتماعية سواء كان مشترك او منفصل عن علم الاجتماع، وتحدث عن العوامل والأسباب التي لم تساهم في تطور مهنة الخدمة الأجتماعية في السودان وشرح التطور التاريخي بالنسبة الي الرعاية والشؤون الأجتماعية في السودان ووضح كيف تمارس انشطة الخدمة الاجتماعية في المؤسسات العامة وتحدث عن بعض المؤسسات التي تمارس فيها انشطة الخدمة الأجتماعية، ومدي مساهمتها في التنمية الأجتماعية كألتأمين القومي الصحي، وصندوق الذكاة، المجلس القومي لرعاية الطفولة، وحدة مكافحة العنف ضد المراة والطفل والصندوق الوطني للمعاشات والتأمينات الأجتماعية للمعاشين، شملت الدراسة كل تلك المهام والأنشطة التي تقوم بها تلك المؤوسسات وذات علاقة بالخدمة الأجتماعية.
The study aimed to identify social work in Sudan and the initial stage of social work is the researcher also talked about the development of social work in Sudan and the historical sequence through time for social work education. He talked about the universities that studıes social work wheather it is joint or separate from sociology , and he talked about the factors and reasons that didn't contribute to the development of social work profession in Sudan , and he also explained the historical development in relation to welfare and social affairs in Sudan , he then explained how social work activities are practiced in public foundations. He also give a speach about some foundations in which social work activities are practiced and its contribution to social development such as national health insurance, zakat fund, the national council for children welfare , the unit for combating violence against women and children , the national pension fund and social insurance for pension .The study included all those tasks and activities carried out by these foundations and related to social work.
